About Me
I am a 25 year old violin teacher that lives in Eugene, OR. I moved to Eugene from Flagstaff, AZ in 2005 and have fallen in love with the Pacific Northwest. I got my bachelors degree in Music Performance on the violin and did long term Suzuki teacher training at Northern Arizona University. I am native to the New Mexico and enjoyed living in the southwest, especially the fresh green chilies.
I am all about being crafty in many different ways. I spend a lot of time knitting and spinning. I also enjoy baking, writing, and spending time with Ella (the dog), Jasmine (the cat) and Anthony (the boyfriend).I started this blog in August of 2005 to stay in touch with friends, but it’s taken a life of it’s own! Welcome to my world of violin, yarn, and words.

Pleasure to learn more about you! I am from NM too! I grew up in Roswell. Where are you from?

Seeing a comment here made me realize I needed to update my About Me section! I am from Albuquerque, but I have family from Roswell. I always miss it the most during the fall. Mmmm… Green Chilies roasting.

I just found your blog and was so excited to find another classical-music person who knits, and then saw these comments - I am from Roswell too! I live in NYC now. Avid knitter. I look forward to reading more of you.

its such a small world! I currently live in Olympia Washington, although I lived in Eugene for a while not so long ago. I was peeking at your page, and had to laugh! I just returned from a two week whirl around the western half of the USA, and I was actually in Village Wool in Albuquerque on the day you posted about VW! I too lived in New Mexico for two years, teaching in the public schools in Santa Fe and desperately searching for fellow knitters…Now it seems that the southwest winds and sand have blown most of us to the west coast.

You have seen that I have stayed on your blog a bit. That BS I am getting is online through Phoenix… the AS was in Minnesota. I thought to mention that I seem to remember a hot springs area in or around Eugene and if I didn’t mention that my aunt makes her own wool yarn in St. Paul MN I would feel bad. If you hear of any place that buys this type of wool yarn (or thread… yarn i guess… I am a computer guy, not much knowledge) or any contacts that she would appreciate, I will pass them on or forward her your email. I feel refreshed having come across your blog and will visit again. (excuse my humor… If you don’t know what for… you will find out on other post.)
